OUR HISTORY

This Church started in July of 1993 as a Home Missions Church. Pastor Charles Hunt and his wife Donice gave all they had to this calling of God. Originally called "House of Prayer" the Hunts spent countless hours working on the buildings and grounds. The first service was held on Sunday, January 2nd, 1994 as North Boulevard Assembly of God.

In January 1997 Pastor Hunt resigned for health reasons and in February of that year Bro. Valdez became our Pastor. It was Bro. Valdez that was given the vision of this Church being the inclusive family of believers that it is.

It was in October of 1995 that Bro. James first visited on a "scouting" mission. The first visit he was alone on his bike. The second visit he came in a car with three elder women (His mother and aunts) Then Bro. James started visiting in a van with adults with developmental disabilities that were living in group homes.

With Bro. Valdez's passing in 2002 Bro. James was chosen as Pastor. Bro. James had been serving in that capacity under Pastor Valdez's mentorship when the elder Valdez's health began to decline in 2000.

Sis. McCrae served as Assistant Pastor during this crucial time of transition. An elder in the faith and an anointed teacher of the Word she served until her death in 2017. Her husband, Bro. McRae is no less a servant. The wisdom God has given to this man continues to bless this Church.
